Lithafest Music Festival

Lithafest is a fictional alternative/rock music festival that takes place every Summer solstice. “Litha” is the Pagan Celtic word for Midsummer– the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, when the sun reaches its highest peak in the sky. It is one of 8 sabbats the Pagans celebrated; many cultures worldwide also celebrate solstices and equinoxes as the ancient Celts did. The Celts celebrated Litha with hilltop bonfires and dancing. Lithafest is inspired by these ancient traditions while still being a modern music festival. The artists I chose (Florence + The Machine, Greta Van Fleet, and Hozier, to name a few) are known for unique music that is soulful, emotionally powerful, sonically impactful, and registers strongly with young people. The setting is the Seven Sisters Country Park, which overlooks the English Channel above stunning white chalk cliffs. The festival is meant to evoke a sense of ancient magic, communion with nature, and passionate modern rock music.
The keywords for Lithafest are sun, summer, solstice, wiccan, ancient, magic, druid, celtic, sky, fire, pagan, nature, music, communion, power, and light. The programs I used for this project were Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
I had a lot of fun compositing images, playing with colour and layer styles on Photoshop for the poster and the album covers. I tried to create an epic sense of space, scale, and atmosphere.

I created the hoodie and necklace mockups myself without the use of a mockup template; since I couldn’t find existing ones that fit exactly what I wanted.
